The following information is given for those who want to stay overnight rather than for those who intend to use it as an activity space (i.e. escape room, mystery dinner, or for a yoga class etc.). About The Space

With beds for 5, an electric fireplace, and drafting table, the 'Sherlock Holmes Studio,' will feel like a cozy home-away-from-home. Whether you are drawn to the area by the beauty of The Gateway Arch, the excitement of Busch Stadium, or the city's rich culinary scene, you'll be just steps from the action as you stream your Netflix favorites in this detective's consulting room. After a day of exploring downtown, rest your sightseeing legs on the plush couch as you enjoy the flames of the electric fireplace warm the studio. The fully equipped kitchen, complete with granite countertops, a Keurig, and dining table for 2, has everything you'll need to cook like the 'Next Food Network Star.'

​Need to get some work done before bed? Put your nose to the grindstone at the drafting table. Nestled in the corner of the studio, this antique table will make you feel like Sherlock Holmes as you scribble notes or read a book. 

Traveling with children? Relax as your little ones drift to sleep in their plush twin trundle bed, and you'll be completely at peace in your top-of-the-line full bed.

Beds & Bathrooms

Built in 1884, 221B is a 611 square feet flat that is as comfortable as it is quirky. The eccentric apartment is made up of two rooms, where the main entrance leads into the main bedroom, consisting of a full bed with a twin trundle beneath it. This opens up into a larger room, comprising of the kitchen, dining area, TV room and a full bathroom. The sofa in this room, opens up into a queen-sized sleeper. There is 1 queen, 1 full, and 1 twin bed, and though it's all rather peculiarly arranged, it's rather cozy if you need to pull an all-nighter trying to solve a difficult case.

Location

Located in the heart of downtown St. Louis, this Olive Street sanctuary is just minutes from the city's hottest attractions. Whether you're looking to see a show at the America's Center, visit the St. Louis Blues Museum, or simply marvel at the Gateway Arch, you won't have to walk more than a few minutes to get to the action. As you walk out of the studio's front door, you'll find a grocery store, a variety of cafes, restaurants, bars, shopping, theaters, and parks, only mere steps away. Just a 10-minute walk from Busch Stadium and Enterprise Center, this studio makes game day fun and easy.

​Check-in/out Instructions

The access webpage will be sent to guests who have a confirmed reservation the day before check-in. 
  • Weekday Check-in is between 3 and 7 PM 
  • Weekend Check-in is between 3 and 5 PM

24 hours before your scheduled arrival, please contact your hosts to coordinate your arrival time and receive additional check-in instructions, if they haven't contacted you already. 
  • Key cards to access the building after hours can be found inside the unit upon arrival. 
  • Please inform the hosts of any problems or concerns prior to your arrival, so we can work to address these immediately ​.

Check-out is at 10 AM
Instructions will be sent to the guest on the morning of departure.  Prior to check-out, please tidy up the space:
  • Remove all perishable items, if in open containers
  • Load and start the dishwasher if it's full enough
  • Strip linens from all used beds, and leave them in a pile on the floor by the bed
  • Please leave the TV and console remotes near the TV
  • Turn off all lights, electronics and appliances
  • Turn off the heating or cooling
  • Close and lock the main entrance door to the space

House Rules

  • No smoking and no drug use, even if it's legal to do so. Many children use these spaces and we cannot have them smelling odd. It just wouldn't be fair to families. 
  • No pets are allowed in this space, but we do have other pet-friending suites where we can even bring you a dog bed and dog-rug.
  • No parties or large gatherings - smaller events or gatherings considered with prior approval (please make note when booking).
  • No kegs or excessive alcohol.
  • The person booking must be at least 21 years old, and there must always be a 21+ year old present in the space when any other group members are in the space.
  • Photo ID may be required upon check-in.
  • Observe quiet hours from 6 AM to 8PM, Monday to Friday, and 8 AM  to 6 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. 
  • Please report any damages that occur to the hosts.

Parking

While your booking does not include parking, there are plenty of parking garages and parking lots within a 1 block radius all around the building, including one across the street on Olive that consists of 12 stories. Many of our guests prefer to use the pay lot south of the building. In addition, there are plenty of meters for street parking. Street parking is free after 7:00 PM  weekdays and all day Sunday.​
